What is JDC West?

JDC West the largest and arguably the most prestigious student-run Business Competition in Western Canada. Each January, 12 Universities from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba attend the weekend-long competition and compete in the areas of Academics, Parliamentary Debate, Athletics and Social Challenges.

After months upon months of preparation, training and community activism, the teams all vie for the title of “School of the Year.”

SFU is one of the twelve universities that competes every year in January.  We have the privilege of sending 46 competitors across 13 teams in the pursuit of winning School of the Year. This year is special as it is the first time SFU students will be competing on home soil.
